Bowmanville Baptist Church was established as a local expression of the body of Christ—born out of prayer, conviction, and a desire to reach our growing town with the gospel.
Our roots stretch back to the mid 1950’s, when a small group of believers began gathering for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Over the years, we’ve grown and moved sites in town, but our purpose has remained the same: to glorify God and make disciples.
Today, we continue to serve Bowmanville and the surrounding communities, proclaiming the good news of Jesus and encouraging one another in faith.
At Bowmanville Baptist Church, we are a Christ-centered community committed to following Christ, loving God, loving one another, serving our neighbours. We firmly believe the gospel changes everything, and we aim to live that out that truth with grace, humility, and joy.
We gather each Sunday to worship in song, prayer, and in the preaching and hearing of God’s Word. Through the grace of Christian fellowship, and under faithful teaching, we seek to grow in Christlikeness and encourage one another in our journey of faith.
We are currently a congregation in transition—led by faithful members, lay leaders, and a shared commitment to God’s Word.
As we prayerfully seek renewed pastoral leadership and a biblical model of eldership, our focus remains on serving Christ together, encouraging one another, and walking in humility, truth, and love.
